If Love Were All

David Keith Jones began with a choir in Bargoed, Wales, and performed across England. After his first album in 2011 he gained a million hits on You Tube. His vocals and backing include traditional and art songs, opera, also jazz standards. Albums include Arie Antiche, Schubert, Puccini, Novello, Gershwin and Bacharach. At school, David's interests included sport, drama and playing in a band. After early vocal training at university he sang in light operas. He then played Jack Worthing in Oscar Wilde’s ‘The Importance of being Earnest’. Later taught by Vera Mallett GRSM and coached by Gerald Davies, lead tenor at Sadlers Wells, David directed Opera Cameo where his roles included Don Jose, Turiddu, Rodolfo plus G&S. He took leads in Messiah & Creation and sang Elgar's Gerontius. Play roles since 2000 include Gosforth in Alan Aykbourn's comedy. He has also recorded work by Quilter, Porter, Rodgers, Ellington, Carmichael, and Berlin.
