The songs “Make It Real” and “Don’t” bring me to Hawaii with the island/reggae feel of the music and the soulful singing. Songs you can sit on the beach and sing… “You Got It All” is one that is definitely to sing around a fire. “Take My Hand” takes us from the beach to the Motown sounds of Detroit and “So Cool” is very soulful. I love every musical part of this song from the horns, the little organ fills, the drums and the congas, guitar & bass and of course the vocals! As we pass through the motor city with “Pass Me By”, we head to Minneapolis to listen to the funk-filled “Cross My Broken Heart”. The breakdown in this song is on point.
