My name is Denny Smith, and I'm responsible for writing and singing most of what you're going to hear from The Great Affairs, if you choose to listen that is. I think you should, if you like your rock n' roll a little poppy, but honest, (relatively)unvarnished, and without most of the technological bells n' whistles that have infiltrated what I think they're still calling "modern rock". We play live, with no computers or tapes to dress things up and make you wonder where the string section and gospel choir are coming from. If you can hear it, then it's us making that noise. We even sing out of tune on occasion, but seldom apologize for it, because we happen to think it's OK to be a little rough around the edges.
