Album Review: Mr. Al Pete, G3.0 With his sophomore album G3.0, Mr. Al Pete has certainly taken the genre of hip hop music to the next level. This is a one eighty (180) from the “Talk About It” LP, which came with hard beats, messages of relationship issues and sarcastic skits demonstrating the “Dirty South” music stereotype. The G3.0 consists of songs the listener can relate to, not the fantasy life of many women, guns, and death “The Rap Game” is so known for exaggerating about. This is music you can bob your head to, music you get a message out of, and most importantly music that initiates an uncontrollable grin that sneaks up on your face. If I had to pick only one favorite, it would have to be “Love Me Now”. This man is a musical genius with the lyrical “flips” he lays down in the first 16 bars of this song. This is an eye opening realization to let those you care about know how important they are to you before it’s too lat...
