The album was cut over 3 & a half days in march 2012 at bawb’s swamp studio. The bass parts were played by his feet “lefty & stinky” on his roland “boot bass” pedals. The megaphone mic parts were sung on a separate mic just like they do live. Perry lowe played cajon, djembe & sang on “unring that bell”. The only overdubs were one mandolin part & a couple of vocal harmonies. It captures their live “swamp” sound. The title “pardon me” comes from the song “rescue dog blues” an ode to bawb & ron’s dogs.
