Born Marjorie Antenette Brown, in St. Louis Mo., Morie began singing at the age of 5. Often asked to sing/perform for family and friends throughout her youth, she quickly became very familiar with the sound of music. Morie grew up admiring the skills of Stevie Wonder, the beautiful harmonies of Boyz II Men, Take 6, and Xscape as well as the amazing performing of Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, and Prince. She started her first singing group at 9 yrs old, AMA. The group consisted of herself and two friends, Atiana Wortham, and Aariane Hendrix. After graduating high school in 2002 Morie found a liking to the recording studio and all it entailed. She began singing hooks, as well as writing for multiple local St. Louis artist, as well as traveling to different cities. She also learned engineering and recording techniques.
