Garvey was born in St Andrew,Jamaica with lineage stretching back to the philosopher Marcus Garvey, his great great grand father. He grew up in Hermitage, August Town . Growing up around University of West Indies He had to the opportunity to rub shoulders with lots of musicians, like Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer , U Roy , Dennis Brown , Israel Vibrations , Fred Locks and Jose Wales Just to name a few. Garvey’s music and ‘Rasta Faith’ is influenced by the many ’ Twelve Tribes Meetings ’ , ‘Niabingi Chantings’ and dances he attended Garvey was born in St Andrew , Jamaica with lineage stretching back to the great philosopher.
