i grew up listening to AM radio. anybody remember that? radio played everything from the Beatles, Byrds, Elvis, Dylan, the Four Tops, Sinatra, Roger Milller and other diverse forms of music. all that had a HUGE influence on me. i began as a teenager playing guitar, joining bands and all that evolved into writing songs. country captured my ear thanks to the Byrds, Poco & Flying Burrito Brothers. that led me to Hank Williams, George Jones, Dolly Parton, Buck Owens & Merle Haggard. growing up in kentucky Bluegrass also had a major influence, thanks to J.D.
