Soldier in the Picture is a new song by Canadian singer-songwriter Kelsey Hayes. The song features the voices of the Canadian Military Wives Choir, an organization founded to support their family members in uniform. Soldier in the Picture captures the magnitude of the sacrifice made by countless members of the Canadian Military in service of Canada and its people. Kelsey was inspired to write this song based on the experiences of her own family – her grandfather in particular, who fought in the Second World War and died of related complications in the early 1960s.
