I have always enjoyed recording new songs that take me out of my comfort box. "El Jinete" is such a track. When I first started writing music at age 13, my styles ranged from hard rock/heavy metal to soft, flowing orchestral movements that sounded like they were pulled straight out of a film. I don't worry about sticking to a certain genre or instrument. I write what I feel. Moods change, skills change, tastes change. I like making a song for the sake of making a song. I find merit and enjoyment in most styles of music, and I think it's a lot of fun to escape my own boundaries. I think this very much makes me more of a producer than an "artist". I hear a sound or mood in my head and I do my best to chase after it. I like texture. I like energy. I like lots of build and movement.
