Roger D’Lux – Glam EP Once again we have a genuine mirror on what was going on in a certain place at a certain time, thanks to the awareness of an artists an his ability to translate it into a tune. Side A is ‘Audio Groove’, a perfect picture of the deepness that kept Pretoria’s floors open well into the daylight hours, with insatiable disco licks panning around the slyly chopped up classic house music vocal. It was the 1500 or so Pretoria house-head die-hards who were up all weekend in 2001 who are credited with inspiring this little number. Side B and ‘Plastic Disco’ is the perfect antidote to its counterpart. More inspired than the producer’s of the time than the people, there is a slightly more serious vibe to this tune than the other side. Still deep, and still disco, but a little extra production on the vocals takes it from the present in to the future and what lay ahead.
