North London based record label, MFR Records, are back with the sickly-sweet new release from Sankuh. Following up from his last release in January, he provides us with four brand new tracks on his latest EP: The Breakdown. Exploring a more deep and emotional side, Sankuh opens the EP with title track The Breakdown. Using an array of syrupy horns, trippy techno cords and a booming drum beat, the opening track is full of no nonsense four-four centred hollow bass. Run The Town explores the more playful and funky side of the North London producer. The use of some hard hitting drums, a super deep baseline and numerous different sound effects will make this track one of those huge instrumentals that’ll enjoy heavy rotation from the stations. A definite feel good, hyperactive rhythm from the 25 year old. Digging deeper into the EP, The Banker sees old R&B tracks cut up to provide a wistful melody throughout this six-minute long track.
