So Excited, the moody single from Seattle based producer Jaymz Nylon (also head honcho of the inimitably global outfit Nylon Trax) offers much to get excited about. Nylons collaboration with vocalist Darrius Willrich drapes sultry drawn out synth lines and delicately plodding snares over poetic, accompanying vocals. A kind of finesse (and restraint) learnt only through years of musical immersion. Featured on the release are kindred producers Felo Le Tee, Franke Estevez, Leandro P., and Zulus At Work. Each provide their own unique take never straying far from the original. Felo Le Tee creates a soft and chattery, linear production, while Estevez turns in an up-tempo remix (the most club-oriented of the four) with pronounced low end, and shiny, warped piano keys.
