Barem Blue MINUS109 Argentina's Barem issues a summer storm warning with Blue, his first EP since 2008's Kolimar and a preview of what's forthcoming on his debut LP for release on Minus, After The Storm, which follows in June. With the album running order based around the full sentence There Is Nothing Better Than A Clear Blue Sky After The Storm, the lead track of this new EP Blue - appearing here as an alternate vocal version - is positioned at around the eye of the storm, conjuring images of rain-soaked, squall-battered beaches with clouds breaking just enough to reveal the daylight that's promised After The Storm. Also included on the EP is Mathias Kaden's interpretation of the lead track, with Kaden taking the skittering drumfills of the original and bringing the percussion to the fore, creating a new atmosphere that nods to Barem's Argentinian roots with a latin-flavoured groove.
