For the last year and a half I have been doing a live set around town that is just me singing with my friend James "Hags" Haggerty on bass. We came up wth a set of covers from every decade that had strong enough melodies and cool enough bass lines to stand alone. The reaction we have gotten has been amazing! People are so drawn in because it is so stripped down. For a singer it is frightening and thrilling because you are flying without a net. People have continually asked about a recording so I decided to do a whole record of pop standards using just bass and vocal. Several of the tracks will be from my set with "Hags" who is an amazing rock and jazz bassist who cofounded the great rock band Joe Marc's Brother and is currently touring and recording with Autumn Defense.
