Thanasi is best known for his creative talents with a pen, his soft tenor voice and his soulful harmonies. Growing up in Toronto, Thanasi was inspired by the soothing sounds of Boys II men, Stevie Wonder, Babyface, Nat King Cole and a variety of other artists and musical genres which he encountered and learned from along the way. Born in Athens, Greece, Thanasi had been fascinated by music since he was a young child. At the tender age of seven, he took his first musical lessons studying classical guitar. By the age of ten, Thanasi and his family moved to Canada after his parents’ separation. This move and his parents’ eventual divorce were devastating for him, since he is a strong believer in family and its importance in creating true stability in one’s life.
