BJ Speer, born in 1980, is a Contemporary and Traditional Christian Artist from the Nashville, Tennessee area. Growing up in Orlando, Florida, BJ has been traveling in Gospel music all his life, being a part of the Speer Family, a name that has been in Gospel music for several years. His parents, Billy and Paula Speer are marking their 35th year in Southern Gospel Ministry this year. BJ grew up on the road and was born into the music business. At the age of 19 he attented the Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, NY and then continued on to Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA to pursue a Communications degree.
