Influenced by the J Dilla style of non-quantized beats, Ohtoro has been crafting his sound for over 10 years under the guidance of Exile, Dj Cheapshot and Aloe Blacc. Previously producing music for the alternative Hip Hop band Hearios and Hawaii Hip Hop veterans Super Groupers, this is the first beat album from Ohtoro. What is also unique about this album is that it was made without using any loops and all instruments were played by Ohtoro. This album was also inspired by the amazing music of the LA Beat Scene acts such as Flying Lotus, Nosaj Thing, Baths and Teebs. Honolulu and Los Angeles mashed up into one great piece of music.
